Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery is opening its Collections Centre for a free Open Day on Sunday 22nd August 2010 between 10.30am and 5.00pm. For this Open Day there will also be some extra activities for the whole family - free donkey rides for children, falconry displays, and children's trails.
The Collections Centre is only a couple of miles from the city centre close to Duddeston Station or the number 26 bus stop at 25 Dollman Street, Birmingham B7 4RQ. Parking is available, but a vintage bus service (courtesy of Aston Manor Transport Museum) will travel between Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery (Edmund Street) and the Museum Collections Centre, with an additional stop at Thinktank (see the bus timetable).
