The main item of business at the City Council meeting on Tuesday 23 February is to approve the budget and Council Tax for 2010/11. A Council Tax increase of 1.9% is proposed.
The proposed budget has excited a lot of headlines but while it does include proposals for restructuring to maintain investment in frontline services, the aim is to minimise the need for any compulsory redunancies.
