Selly Oak New Road Phase 2 Website

I know that their have been some problems with the timely distribution of information about work on the second phase of the Selly Oak New Road. But information, including contact details and photographs of the work, can be found on a dedicated website at www.sellyoaknewroadphase2.co.uk

Planned work during November 2009 includes:

• Continuation of site clearance throughout the scheme.
• Continuation of excavation of new road by the former Westley Richards Gun Factory.
• Tree clearance.
• Statutory Undertakers (i.e. utilities) diversions commencing on the A38 and nearby roads.
• From 22 November a single lane closure on the out of city carriageway of the A38 Bristol Road will be implemented to allow work to be carried out safely.

The existing Tesco store and petrol station closes on 8 November. The new Tesco store will open on Wednesday 18 November and the petrol station is expected to open on Monday 21 December.
