Christmas Tree Recycling

Christmas trees can be recycled in a number of ways in Birmingham.

You can use the fortnightly garden waste collection service (tie the tree branches up as tightly as possible), take them to your local Household Recycling Centre or use the service offered at some parks (including Lickey Hills Country Park). Trees will be disposed of in an environmentally friendly way. Those taken away by the garden waste crews will be composted and the Parks Service will use chipped down trees for landscaping.

For more information about recycling you can telephone the Council on 0121 303 1112, email recycling@birmingham.gov.uk or visit www.birmingham.gov.uk/recycling.
